A tall silk kimono featuring hundreds of hand-drawn flower motifs. The silk has unusual horizontal textural ribbing, and every three inches or so there is a vertical metallic thread insert that can't be seen from a distance. The flowers are yuzen-painted. The 66" height as well as the unusual iconography leads us to believe that this was a special-purpose kimono - perhaps for a theatrical play. 50" from sleeve-end to sleeve-end x 66" height.
