Purple Rinzu Silk Haori: Mint & Coral Silkscreened Fan Motifs

This silk haori is a visually dynamic example of  textile design, utilizing a rhythmic layout of traditional icons to create a sense of celebratory movement. The garment is crafted from a basic silk rinzu (damask) fabric, which provides a lustrous, architectural field for its high-contrast surface decoration.

The composition is defined by a series of silkscreened fan motifs (sensu) that appear to float across the body and sleeves against a background of soft, white "clouds" or "mist".
