This plain-weave silk kimono presents evenly-spaced broad vertical stripes with occasional red supplementary thread highlights running horizontally at uneven intervals. The use of plain weave creates a reflective sheen. Its inner lower lining, a chirimen (crepe) bright green silk susomawashi, complements the piece. The doura (upper inner lining) is made of plain hand-spun and woven silk. Measurements-wise, it spans 49 inches (124 cm) from sleeve-end to sleeve-end and stands at 56 inches (142 cm) in height.
