Orange Rinzu Silk Haori: Pine Bough Motifs & Gold Couching

This silk haori utilizes a bold graphic scale to reimagine classical forest imagery. The garment is rendered on a vibrant, rinzu (damask) orange background, which provides a lustrous architectural field for its high-contrast botanical composition.

The primary design features bold depictions of pine boughs that sprawl energetically across the back and sleeves. These pine needles are rendered in a crisp, white-on-tan palette, creating a sharp visual texture that mimics the natural rigidity of the boughs. To further elevate the design, the piece features metallic thread couching on the back, where gold or silver threads are stitched onto the surface to define the structure of the branches and add a subtle shimmering quality.
