Description:

This silk miyamairi kimono, worn for a baby boy's Shinto christening ceremony, showcases archery motifs created through silk-screen patterns. Enhanced with metallic thread couching and gold foil outlining, it remains in very good condition, albeit with some patina staining. Measuring 35 inches (89 cm) from sleeve-end to sleeve-end and standing at 38 inches (97 cm) in height, it carries symbolic significance tied to the solemnity and tradition of the occasion.
