An unusual rinzu (damask) silk jacket featuring yuzen-painted dancer and bamboo grass (sasa) motifs. The rinzu background motif is "matsukawa-bishi" (pine bark). Three family crests (mon) on the back, extremely rare, which indicates that this haori is the most formal of woman's jackets -- this garment was likely worn to a very formal function, ceremony or festival. 46" from sleeve-end to sleeve-end x 36" height.
