Japan Late Taisho to early Showa (1920-1935) $3,000.00 A chirimen silk jacket featuring a bold design worked with yuzen-dyeing and metallic couching. It has large fan motifs with gorgeous details. Besides a large fan motif, its details include hollyhock, 'kaioke' (a hexagonal container to store clam shells, which are used in an ancient shell matching game - 'kaiawase' ) with decorated seashells, paper crane, and phoenix motifs.
