Japan Taisho era (1912-1926) $1,500.00 A superior silk haori that was created with much care and labour during the Taisho era. The base silk is a rinzu (damask), and is patterned with yuzen resist dyeing, metallic couching and satin-stitch-style embroidery. Two unusual features are the presence of surihaku foil outling on the inner lining, and metallic thread inserts added in places on the main outside to create highlights.
